what a weekend ....

this weekend was one for the books. i can't say exactly what all happened on here but let's just say it was all worth it! i can't wait until tomorrow when it actually is HALLOWEEN :) one of my best friends is coming down to visit me! ahhh but i have to go because i can't find my ID and i'm freaking out! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

mi familia :)

last night was one of my favorite nights as a chi omega, the reason being is because i FINALLY got my BIG :) in the sorority world a big is someone who is your "big sister" from your sorority. it's a mutual feeling and you go though a process for it. at the beginning of my experience in chi omega, each week we were assigned an "owl pal". an "owl pal" is when one of the new members is paired with an active member for the week. they kind of show you the ropes or just basically hang out with you. then at the end of 5 weeks, we get to choose someone who we've clicked with or have gotten along with during the first couple of weeks in chi omega. your big doesn't have to be someone who was your owl pal. I LOVE MY BIG, and my grand big :) i can't wait to make memories with them and just have them to support me through anything!

manic monday

i'm sitting at jamba juice right now with my friend kate. we just got out of our 8am class in the atrium and decided to get some smoothies and bagels for breakfast. i always get the mango-a-go-go and a plain bagel with cream cheese. it is soooo yummy! i recommend it for anyone who loves breakfast but still wants to be healthy! the only bad thing is is that it's a little costly. yeah well i'm off to my next class with a lab, so it's two hours and then one hour of chem!!! my manic monday ends at 1pm today! can't wait.

SPONTO

i'm in my room about to get ready for my sorority's informal event: Spontaneous. This years theme is Chi O's around the world. So my friend and I are going as mexicans. I'm excited because it's something different to do then just go out to the frats during the weekends. Last night was fun because many of my sisters and I volunteered at the Muncie Children's Museums Haunted House. I was a dead little girl and I got to scare little kids, it was really fun. Well I hope everyone is having a great pre-halloween weekend! Oh and CHIRP CHIRP to the BSU fball team for getting a W!

rain rain go away

so i'm sitting in english right now and my group and i finished our peer edit reviews a little earlier than all of you. so i decided to get one of my blogs out of the way. my head hurts really bad right now and i'm dreading walking outside because it's going to be freezing!!! i wish i had money to go online shopping because,  right about now forever21.com is calling my name. this may sound weird but i love it when it's quite and all i hear is the sound of people typing up stuff on their computers, it's so relaxing.

fall break is over and reality is going to hit again. i'm praying that this week goes by fast. i just turned in the ROUGH DRAFT to my research paper in and i'm happy with a few parts of it but I am aware that it still needs a lot of work before I can say it is complete. i'm already stressing about this week because i have a test on friday and my prof still hasn't sent in the study guide which she promised to do during the weekend. oh well i need to stop complaining. i can't wait to see all of my chi o sisters tomorrow :) espesh my baby hooties<3

sitting, waiting, wishing

sitting - i'm currently sitting/laying on my bed uploading pictures to facebook from my night last night in bloomington.  i spent so much money as soon as i got there because we went to  a pace called, kirkwood it's so cute! it's basically a larger version of the village. i need a nap. a long, long, nap.

waiting - i'm waiting for my parents to get home from wherever they are. as soon as i got home i noticed they weren't there. i swear their social life is much more packed now that i'm out of the house. i don't know how i feel about this? so im still here on facebook waiting for my pictures to upload .....

wishing - i wish i could get back to muncie here soon. i miss my dorm! haha i love my room at home and i love coming home and having time to relax and think but i always see myself missing good ol' muncie. something else that i wish for right now is for the colts to just win ONE game this regular season. i really wished that they could be the first team to host the superbowl at the same time they're playing it. looks like thats not going to happen :(

home sweet home

i'm back at home in fishers, indiana for the next couple of days! as soon as i got home i caught myself up on episodes of project runway. boy did that feel good! i miss being able to watch all of my favorite shows whenever i want! i also have to say, I MISSED MY PARENTS SO MUCH! i love catching up with my mom. well tonight i just plan on relaxing, then tomorrow i'm road tripppin' to BTOWN and having a fun night with my best friends that go to IU! can't wait to catch up with them and see what college life is like in Bloomington. I somehow have to find some time to being my research paper. I don't want to leave it to the last minute, I've done that one too many times in high school, and I would hate for me to bring back that bad habit to college.


oh well gotta go! my mom made home cooked Dominican food! YUMMMMMMMMMY
(ps- i'm hispanic. my parents are both from the Dominican Republic. Hence, the home-cooked Dominican food story :D)

so today i met with professor mcardle and he said that overall things were going great with me in that class except for .... MY BLOGS. so from now until the end of the year i have to do 3 blogs and 3 posts per week. someone please remind me to do these! hahah i seriously need to catch up because i want to do well in this class. there is no reason as to why i wouldn't be doing well in this class. so i decided my topic for the next paper will be eating disorders in the fashion industry. i'm excited to start this paper but i don't know where to begin. and the fact that fall break starts tomorrow freaks me out because i have to start this paper during my break :( instead of me going home for like 4, 5 days i'll have to come back on monday night or tuesday morning to finish this shenangins!

wanted: FALL BREAK

here i am again with another overwhelming/whining blog. i can't help it but i'm literally about to explode. i have a chem test on friday that i have absolutely no clue what is going to be on it. i just can't wait to go home and visit my family for a few days. and on saturday i get to visit my best friends at IU! i can't wait :) i'm sure everyone had a fun homecoming weekend, as did i. but man - they need to warn people that you will receive no sleep and have way toooo much fun :) my sorority got paired with sig ep and the whole entire week was just crazy, wild, and a blast. can't wait until next years homecoming when i know exactly what to expect. i requested for some of my classes yesterday but i still don't know exactly what i should be taking. i'm taking eng 104 next semester and have no clue what to expect. oh well i guess thats the way life goes right? live unexpectedly!

airjam

sooo i just came back from AIRJAM 2011. and lets just say i was anticipating something completely awesome and thats what i got :) everyone in my sorority said it was the best night of the weeek and they were right! it was so cool to see all of the greek community and other clubs come together in DANCE. haha and my sorority (XΩ) they did amaaaaazing! well i got to get to bed because tomorrow is the start of a very fun weekend ;)

HOMECOMING WEEK ... officially starts tomorrow. i think it's about to be INSANE. but my profs think its awesome to have so many things due this week, its great. this past weekend i spent almost every waking moment with my sisters and i LOVED it. i feel so blessed to have 31 BEST FRIENDS that i know have my back. i know that it sounds weird since i just met them like 2, 3 weeks ago but no one will understand until you go through the process of being greek. i LOVE it. hopefully english 103 this week is kind of laid back, i want to do well on all of my papers but i feel like i can't concentrate because of homecoming. it's time to truly test my knowledge and lack of time management. legggggggo.
